Whisper: to speak with soft, hushed sounds, using the breath, lips, etc., but with no vibration of the vocal cords.

Shimmer: to appear to quiver or vibrate in faint light or while reflecting heat waves.

Swaddle: to bind (an infant, especially a newborn infant) with long, narrow strips of cloth to prevent free movement; wrap tightly with clothes.
